Privacy Policy

Summary

AllergyMate is designed to keep your data on your device. Your allergy profile and generated cards are stored in your browser’s local storage. We do not run user accounts, we do not sell data, and we do not track you across other sites.

What we store on your device

• Your selected allergens, severity, trace tolerance, and notes.
• Your chosen language and (optionally) detected country code.
• Recently generated translation cards (kept for offline use).
• Your theme preference (light / dark / system).

This information lives only in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What we send to third parties

To generate a translation, the allergens, severity, trace tolerance, and notes you provide are sent to the Lovable AI Gateway, which routes the request to a large language model provider (currently Google Gemini). These providers process the request to produce your card and may log requests for abuse prevention and service improvement, subject to their own policies.

If you use the “Detect my location” button, your IP address is sent to ipapi.co to look up a country code. If you do not press that button, no location lookup occurs.

What we do not collect

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or payment information.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers or marketing pixels.
• We do not sell or rent any data to anyone.

Cookies

AllergyMate does not set tracking cookies. The Service uses local storage (a separate browser mechanism) only for the data described above.

Your choices

• You can edit or clear your profile at any time from the Setup screen.
• You can clear all stored data by clearing site data in your browser.
• You can use the Service without enabling location detection.

Children

AllergyMate is not directed at children under 13. Parents managing allergies for a child should review translations themselves before relying on them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
